After the summer of COVID-19?

Dear customers and partners,

Summer is coming to an end, and even though the pandemic is still at the centre of our daily lives, our team remains mobilized to serve our customers. Whether it is digital projects, software solutions, managed IT services or innovative cloud solutions, our group (MultipleMedia, GTI Canada and Volutus) has met the challenges the pandemic created by keeping services running for our customers. COVID-19 is far from having slowed our team down!

New employees

The gradual return to the office started at the beginning of the summer. Delighted as we are to be back together and to share our energy day to day, we are currently continuing our activities in hybrid mode until the end of 2020. Our customers have not slowed their pace either, and on that note, in the past two months alone we have hired 6 new employees and welcomed 8 interns. We are not sitting still!

Let us also note the arrival of MultipleMédia’s new Director, Digital Strategies, Marie-France Simard. After many years on the media sales team at La Presse and as a digital solutions advisor at Pages Jaunes, Marie-France is definitely an asset for the group.

"I am happy to join the MultipleMédia team, which brings me a great deal of new technological knowledge. My mandate is to be the person who explains things plainly and helps companies solve simple or complex problems in their current and future digital development."

New projects

Several projects were started this summer and the company Magnus Poirier is at the heart of a number of them. We have taken on a large number of projects at the heart of Magnus Poirier’s digital ecosystem, which will make 100% online funeral arrangement services possible. Along with the complete redesign of their website, we carried out a security audit, analyzed their full migration to cloud services and added an electronic signature system for their contracts. Added to this list of summer projects is the brand-new website of Groupe Juste Pour Rire, which will be proudly launched on September 15, 2020.

This summer also marks the start of a new collaboration with École de Technologie Supérieure. ÉTS placed its trust in our Kentico expertise to train, support and guide their internal web team throughout the coming year. We also had the chance to adjust Santinel’s systems to include their online course offering.

New technology

Several technology projects were also put in place to improve how effective we are internally.

Among those projects, note the complete migration of the phone system to the AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform. Along with the deployment of DesktopCentral from Manage Engine, which lets us, among other things, manage updates, inventories, statuses and configurations from a single management platform.

It is also important to note the deployment of JIRA. This intranet and its agile management system let us improve how we track collaborative projects and be much more effective. Note as well the installation of the Bigin CRM, which will let us manage our customer relationships more easily than ever.

We have also added an extra layer of security around managing our customers’ information by migrating all login information to the encrypted management platform Bitwarden.

Only 120 days before our new premises!

After all the teams came home on August 3, we moved out once again to start renovating the 10th floor and building our new spaces on the 11th floor. Estimated duration of the work: 120 days.

Looking to the future, this project to rework our spaces will require very large investments, since everything has been completely rethought with the growth of our companies and a friendlier approach in mind.

For the 12 weeks the work will last, we will occupy only the 4th floor, where we have set up our headquarters. The people in roles tied to company management and to operations have been relocated there in order to maintain the level and quality of our services to our customers and the efficiency of our operations.
