Implementing and managing an IT solution

A client of GTI since 2002, Clinique médicale l’Actuel offers high-quality healthcare in the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and management of people living with HIV/AIDS.

L'ACTUEL'S CHALLENGE

  • Ensure that they demonstrate innovation, flexibility and team spirit
GTI Canada met all these criteria.

GTI’S CONTRIBUTION

Harmonize the requirements of all stakeholder groups in designing, implementing and managing an integrated IT solution. This harmonization is reflected in several ways:
  1. Outsourcing of our infrastructures to GTI

As an Authorized Service Centre (CSA) registered with the IT management branch for the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (DGTI-MSSS), GTI meets both the Clinic’s operational and administrative requirements as well as DGTI-MSSS standards; as such, GTI is fully qualified to serve as a liaison between the two entities and to support the Family Medicine Group (GMF) in which Actuel participates.

To service Actuel, GTI handles all the responsibilities of an IT service, contributing to the development of the investment program linked to the Clinic’s development. It designs, coordinates and implements all required infrastructure projects and ensures measures are in place to protect the integrity, accessibility, availability and confidentiality of data. Beyond guaranteeing the quality of relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors GTI offers 24/7 support.

  1. Design of two management solutions
    • Non-RAMQ billing: a FileMaker solution that handles billing for services not covered by the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) and calculates the rebates for doctors. As well, to retrieve patient contact information, a connector was developed to link the billing solution to Purkinje, the medical administration management program for patient records. Result: saves time and eliminates the risk of errors.
    • Time management: A solution that processes timesheet data for professional and support staff on a daily basis. Result: saves time, expedites payroll processing, and simplifies the preparation of annual statements.
  1. Enhance and improve a statistical analysis program
Designed for epidemiological studies, new and updated features such as importing test results directly from the Purkinje system, simplify and accelerate the work of compiling statistics for the Clinic’s research centre team.
