Talks

eCommerce-Québec
October 1, 2015

The annual event of the Conseil québécois du commerce de détail brings together retailers looking for new answers in new technology. Split into three distinct streams (eCommerce, CRM and supply management; eMarketing and social media; customer experience and mobility), the 2015 edition offers participants an exhibitor hall along with several assortments of talks and workshops.

Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Are you attending as a speaker, an exhibitor or a participant?

The unavoidable move to digital
October 30, 2015

The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, whose mission is "to be the voice of the Montreal business community and to act for the prosperity of the metropolis", presents RDV Perspectives, on the subject of the move to digital. Illustrated with success stories from small and medium businesses, this event explores the benefits of new technology in business.

The CCMM also offers a variety of training along with several networking activities.

CreativeMornings

I have already told you about the first morning I attended. This dose of morning energy comes back every last Friday of the month in Montreal and is also available in Quebec City, Trois-Rivières and perhaps Sherbrooke. It is a worldwide event; a monthly theme is shared across the participating cities, which then find someone to represent that theme. In September it was Patsy Van Roost who had Théâtre Rialto in Mile-End buzzing.

See you next month?

Training

Infopresse Campus

The training calendar of Infopresse Campus is available through to April 2016, with training focused on Marketing Communications, Leadership Management and Interactive. I personally attended David Bélanger’s content strategy training last August and my day ended with my head full of ideas!

Canadian Marketing Association

Based in Toronto and Vancouver, the CMA also offers online training in the form of certifications or webinars. Their 2015 calendar is full of very interesting digital subjects: web design, strategy, branding, marketing, media and advertising.

Networking

JAM Montreal networking

JAM is a networking evening for professionals aged 25 to 35 in every field. Free and open to everyone, this event differs from other networking evenings by putting the emphasis purely on conversation between the participants, setting aside the fuss of speeches, contests or activities. Since September 24, the event is also offered to people in Quebec City.

The 16th Montreal edition will be held on October 15 at Peopl on Notre-Dame West. See you there?

Meetup

Meetup is a worldwide group whose mission is to encourage local get-togethers while helping people organize among themselves. So all you have to do is sign up and join or create the events that interest you. On the professional side, a ton of events are available to you in every field.
Entrepreneurs, developers, geeks, you should all find something for you!
