GTI’s Expertise at the Service of Saint-James’s Club

Montreal’s first private club and preferred location for networking and business meetings, Saint-James’s Club asked for GTI’s expertise to analyze its IT systems and process related to its technology resources. For the Club, this exercise was the opportunity to evaluate its current situation, particularly its member services management systems, before making new IT investments.

GTI’s experts first met the organization’s management team and key employees as well as their principal technology suppliers. Fundamental step of the GTI process, those meetings helped establish a historical background of the Club’s computer and telephone facility, detailing its sales process and those related to the management of its members and food and beverage activities. GTI’s team then proceeded to assess the Montreal establishment’s network infrastructure and topology, physical environment and technology partners, simultaneously conducting a preliminary inventory of its IT equipment. Clearly defining the state of their infrastructure, the realization of this first step was also the occasion to determine customer needs in order to provide specific recommendations in response to its business challenges.

Recommendations for Saint-James’s Club

Following a global analysis of its network administration practices, security and backup policies and modeling of its business processes, GTI’s managed services specialists established a list of recommendations and highlighted numerous priorities. One of those proposed some measures and tools in order to automate manual processes actually in use, the analysis having shown several risks associated with the continuation of such practices. The audit report also proposed an IT summary, strategic and budgetary plan giving the Club’s management team detailed and prioritized information so they can make informed choices in line with their resources and objectives. Having considered the advice of our experts, Saint-James’s Club is currently evaluating its options for future IT investments. An extension of the partnership is therefore possible in upcoming months.
