Millenium Micro Group: 2016 Annual Convention
Last September 30th was Group Millenium Micro’s annual conference. The largest convention of independent IT resellers in Canada, this two-day event is an opportunity for affiliates to meet authorized suppliers of the Group, take part in training courses and conferences on the IT market, and exchange with peers. A Business Solutions member, GTI was represented by Patrick Hardy, Partner and Vice President of Managed Services, and by Martin Gilbert, Senior Advisor in Hardware and Software.
New Products And Services
Among more than 700 attendees and hundreds of suppliers present at the Exhibition Hall were some of the biggest players in the industry. Microsoft and Lenovo and many others were present to inform members of the Group regarding their service offerings and partner programs while presenting their latest products, such as the new HP Elite x3, a device which is a hybrid smartphone, tablet and PC that caught the attention of our colleague Martin.Market Trends
In addition to being an opportunity for the Group to take a look back on the year and propose new projects to its members, a half-day of training was devoted to managed services. Members were able to attend a conference addressing all the financial aspects of this type of service. This type of conference fits perfectly with the Group's mission to identify and develop business opportunities. Two conferences particularly caught the attention of our colleagues: "Sales, motivation and team work success" by renowned speaker Jean-Marc Chaput, and "IT Industry Outlook: Key Trends Shaping the Canadian Market" by Jim Hamilton, Vice President of CompTIA Communities, which addressed trends in the technology market that will have an impact on retailers in the near future. The Convention was much appreciated by our colleagues who took the opportunity to learn about the latest products and solutions available on the market to meet our customers’ needs. With all its innovations, trainings, and conferences, the event was once again a great success! And we’re betting the next edition will be just as good!See our other BLOGS
