An acronym for User Experience, UX design has a very broad definition. With the aim of optimizing the overall user experience, a UX designer must consider not only the site mechanics (ergonomics) but also the information architecture (IA), the interface design (IU) and the interaction design (IxD). UX design is a user-centred design (UCD).
