Over the years, Magnus Poirier has developed its expertise in order to offer high-quality customer service and position itself as a key player in the Quebec funeral market.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the objective of improving its website and always offering a qualitative customer experience, Magnus Poirier called on our Montreal web agency for a website redesign and audit.<\/p>\n<p>For this audit, we decided to focus on four essential points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Content analysis<\/li>\n<li>Arborescence analysis<\/li>\n<li>Ergonomic audit<\/li>\n<li>Home page redesign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Content Analysis<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7515 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Cover_Content.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"744\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This analysis led us to <strong>two main observations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The description of services offered and the death procedure are not clear. It is therefore a question of guiding the user thanks to explicit texts and clear and reader-friendly explanations.<\/li>\n<li>A lot of content is repeated on the website which can lose the user\u2019s attention. Avoiding duplicate content also increases your SEO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Arborescence Analysis<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7467\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Cover_arboresence.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"744\" height=\"432\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Magnus Poirier arborescence website<\/strong> structure did not always seem logical. A potential customer needs to be guided and redirected instinctively to the right sections of the website. In this case, some sections were not intuitive, and some links were also wrong, which can be frustrating for a user.<\/p>\n<p>In the menu hierarchy (main links, secondary links, etc.), the secondary sections (News) were at the same level as the important sections (Obituaries, Services, Complex). We recommended differentiating the most important pages from other sections to facilitate navigation and limit the website bounce rate.<\/p>\n<p>Our thinking was oriented towards a logical reorganization of the menu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Ergonomic Audit<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7516 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Cover_ergonomics.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"744\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Breadcrumb<\/h3>\n<p>First, we found that the Magnus Poirier website did not have breadcrumbs. The breadcrumb is a secondary navigation system to allow the user to identify their website position. This is essential because it encourages navigation.<\/p>\n<h3>Responsive Design<\/h3>\n<p>The Magnus Poirier website would benefit from being more mobile friendly. The text is not legible enough and the information is sometimes overloaded.<\/p>\n<p>On mobile, we recommend keeping the essential information and reorganizing the content and blocks (images, pictograms, texts, etc.) according to the usage.<\/p>\n<h3>Site Speed<\/h3>\n<p>We noticed sluggishness in loading the pages. To explain this, we noticed that the images being used were large and that the HTML code could be improved.<\/p>\n<p>A fast website facilitates users\u2019 navigation.<\/p>\n<h3>Design<\/h3>\n<p>Finally, we analyzed the design of the website and made ergonomic recommendations. Here are a few examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opt for more soothing images,<\/li>\n<li>Give the user more space,<\/li>\n<li>Opt for contrasting colours (light and bright) on important information areas (call to action, phone number).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Home Page Redesign<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7517\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Cover_Visibility.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"744\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>D\u2019un point de vue technique, la qualit\u00e9 d\u2019un bon code \u00e9tait essentielle pour que Magnus Poirier ait un r\u00e9f\u00e9rencement optimal dans les moteurs de recherche.
