Nothing to do with IT but so comforting in these times of isolation and pandemic. Enjoy your meal!<\/p>\n<h2>The ingredients:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 120px !important; margin: 0 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/art_03_03b.png\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 120px !important; margin: 0 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/art_03_04.png\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 120px !important; margin: 0 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/art_03_05.png\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 120px !important; margin: 0 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/art_03_02.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup (1 stick) butter, at room temperature, and an extra to butter the pan.<\/li>\n<li>1 cup of sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon baking soda<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 cup very ripe bananas (4 to 5 bananas), mashed<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup of sour cream (that&#8217;s the secret!)<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup chopped nuts or pecans (for my son, I replace with a cup of chocolate chips \u00a0&#x1f60a;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The steps:<\/h2>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14897 alignright\" style=\"max-width: 120px !important; float: left; margin-right: 30px; margin-bottom: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/art_03_07.png\" alt=\"\" \/>Step 1:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.<br \/>\nButter a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan; set aside.<br \/>\nIn an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.<br \/>\nAdd eggs and beat to blend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<br \/>\n<\/strong>In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.<br \/>\nAdd to butter mixture and blend until smooth.<br \/>\nAdd bananas, sour cream and vanilla; toss to combine.<br \/>\nStir in nuts and pour into prepared pan.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14895 alignright\" style=\"max-width: 120px !important; float: right; margin-left: 30px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/art_03_06.png\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Step 3:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Bake until cake tester inserted in centre of cake comes out clean, about 1 hour 10 minutes (I recommend 1 hour 5 minutes).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14885 alignleft\" style=\"max-width: 120px !important; float: left; margin-right: 30px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/art_03_01.png\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nLet stand in pan for 10 minutes, then place on wire rack to cool.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s ready!
