{"id":63738,"date":"2017-08-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-08-03T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/realisations\/outsourcing-filemaker\/"},"modified":"2024-08-26T00:48:36","modified_gmt":"2024-08-25T22:48:36","slug":"outsourcing-filemaker","status":"publish","type":"realisations","link":"https:\/\/www.gticanada.com\/en\/project\/outsourcing-filemaker\/","title":{"rendered":"Outsourcing a FileMaker solution"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Needs <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Alliance qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise des techniciens de l&#8217;image et du son (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aqtis.qc.ca\/en\/\">AQTIS<\/a> &#8211; Alliance of Image and Sound Technicians) represents some 6200 freelance professionals in more than 134 trades associated with the design, planning, set-up or creation of audiovisual productions.<\/p>\n<p>The organization asked GTI for auditing its FileMaker solution.<\/p>\n<p>During the audit, the AQTIS decided to change his IT supplier and appointed GTI for daily maintained its software solutions.<\/p>\n<p>GTI\u2019s goals are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Daily maintain the platform,<\/li>\n<li>Improve features,<\/li>\n<li>Stabilize some major features,<\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain financial synch operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Solution <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The scope of our software solutions experts\u2019 team is to simplify daily operations within the 3 departments of the organization.<\/p>\n<p>GTI had also improved some major features such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial synch operations: data transfer (all entries) from FileMaker to the Acomba accounting software.<\/li>\n<li>Management of data movements and group insurance calculation: optimization and stabilization of the weekly and bi-annual report of the insurance movements sent to the Blue Cross<\/li>\n<li>Tax receipts: plugin improvement to simplify data management and sent tax receipts at the end of the year to all members.<\/li>\n<li>Production of monthly activity reports sent to all members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Results <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We meaningfully improve features\u2019 speed. As an example: production of tax receipts took 21h and an IT expert support. Today, the production is full autonomous and only takes 2h30.<\/p>\n<p>GTI daily maintains, improves and supports the FileMaker platform. The platform must be updated constantly because of rules and laws evolution within the audiovisual production field.
