New digital platform for the Just for Laughs Festival!

 

Digital partner of the Just For Laughs Group since 2014, GTI, formerly MultipleMedia, is honored to have actively contributed to the development of the new digital platform for the 2020 edition of the Just For Laughs Festival.

Pandemic declared last March, the Just For Laughs Festival has reinvented itself and innovated to offer us, until October 10, an autumn festival that was intended to be hybrid! With the announcement of the red alert, at the very start of these activities, the festival had to migrate all of its audience to an exclusively digital broadcasting in less than 24 hours.

This unique edition is offering a rich program bringing together the best comedians in the world, and allowing all humor lovers on the planet to connect live to all the shows of the Festival by simply purchasing their Yoop access from festival.hahaha.com as of September 22! Watching so much original Festival content has never been so easy!

Each summer, the Just For Laughs Festival is the long awaited comedic event for its diverse offer of free outdoor activities accessible to all. Find this incredible content offer, 100% free, this weekend, October 9 and 10, in the form of shortened versions for French-speaking shows, as well as full versions for English-speaking shows which will be directly integrated on the platform at the festival.hahaha.com

Whether it is for the virtual experience, the space reserved for sponsors, the program page and even, the integration of a live chat during the shows, powered by Google, the Just for Laughs Group and GTI have fully mobilized their team to create this digital universe while respecting the brand image developed for this festival as well as the very tight production deadlines.

In terms of solutions, we recommended a robust open-source CMS: Drupal, because it allows great flexibility in the daily change of content, dynamically pre-programmed content as well as the planning of free HTML areas, which gives maximum autonomy to the digital teams of Just for Laughs.

In the current context which affects us all, particularly the cultural scene, what was until now an experience of human proximity requires more than ever the implication of technology, even from the start of the creation process.
