The month of June provides an opportunity to acknowledge progress achieved and recognize the work that remains to be done. GTI wishes to underscore Pride Month and confirm company commitment to raising employee awareness of issues of equality and acceptance.
In 2005, Canada became the fourth country in the world to legalize same sex marriage following passage of the federal Civil Marriage Act which marked an important step in guaranteeing the rights of 2ELGBTQI+ individuals. Although considerable progress has been made, much remains to be done to ensure equality in the working world and in civil society.
Pride Month offers IT organizations an exceptional opportunity to showcase diversity in the workplace and highlight ongoing efforts to create a better working environment for all.
