Laurentian Pilotage Authority’s upcoming website at the heart of their new positioning

The heads of the Laurentian Pilotage Authority (LPA), fully aware of the importance of their website and its impact on the whole of their digital communications, have set a projet in motion for a complete website redesign. Above and beyond the obvious need for a responsive site that adapts to the various screen resolutions of cell phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers, the Authority’s operations, their involvement in their industry, and their strategic positioning have all evolved in recent years and needed to be integrated in the redesign.

With all of these aspects to consider, the organization mandated MultipleMedia to help them identify their needs and come up with the overall design of their future website.

The heads of the LPA wanted, first and foremost, to identify their needs and those of their partners. They knew that this kind of analysis would have a very real impact on their future site and on the services offered overall to their users.

A preliminary research phase allowed us to identify and describe the content that the various target groups actually search for, while also integrating some of the organization’s strategic objectives.

We then defined a matrix of current content; user personas; potential tasks, webspaces and wireframes; accessibility guidelines, and more.

These crucial steps have laid the groundwork for an enjoyable and satisfying user experience. The heads of the LPA can now plan for the development of their site, knowing that it will be perfectly in line with both the organization’s strategic objectives and the concrete needs of the website’s users.
