GTI is proud to participate for a 4th consecutive year in the Kiwanis Club’s Habillement K campaign

24 October 2024

GTI is proud to once again participate in the Kiwanis Club's Habillement K campaign. The aim of the campaign is to help underprivileged children in the Drummondville area by providing them with new, warm clothes for winter, and to help them feel valued and confident.

How does the campaign work?

As usual, in addition to collecting donations, the Kiwanis Club is offering to buy cases of apples. All the money raised will be used to dress around 300 needy elementary school children. The clothing day will take place in November at Drummondville's Aubainerie. Children will be transported by bus to the store and will be able to choose their own clothes, contributing to their self-confidence and pride.

What is the Kiwanis Club?

The Kiwanis Club is a global volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and their communities. Their goal is to ensure that young people have warm clothes to face the winter, that they receive adequate nutrition at school and the educational support they need for their development.

The Kiwanis Club has three main areas of focus:

  • Nutri K: helps provide healthy snacks and meals to elementary school students in need
  • Edu Kation: helps provide academic support to brighten their daily lives, cultivate their social and civic values and guide them towards their full potential
  • Habillement K: helps provide warm clothing to primary school children in need

This global vision is then applied locally, with each club tailoring its projects to the specific needs of its community.
