Optimizing the contribution of IT to healthcare missions

1 January 1970

The Angus Medical Clinic is a Network Clinic (CR) and Family Medicine Group (GMF) with two locations in Montreal and a large team of health care professionals. As a business partner since its opening, we support both establishments through an annual outsourcing contract.

The Needs

It is within this framework that a dedicated team of GTI experts responds to the challenges posed by the medical field:
  • Optimizing the contribution of IT to health care missions
  • Demonstrate innovation and flexibility
For Marc de Bellefeuille, owner of the clinic, it was essential to establish a long-term relationship with an external team of IT specialists in order to have access to cutting-edge expertise.

Daily support

Outsourcing the clinic's IT services involves:
  • The development of the investment program related to the clinic's development
  • The design, coordination, and implementation of all necessary infrastructure projects
  • The implementation of measures to protect the integrity, accessibility, and confidentiality of data.
  • The purchase of hardware and software
  • Emergency support when needed
As an Authorized Service Center (ASC) registered with the Directorate General of Information Technology of the Department of Health and Social Services (DGTI), GTI meets both the operational and administrative requirements of the Clinic and the requirements of the DGTI. Our experts therefore have all the necessary qualifications to liaise between the two entities and support the GMFs of which the clinic is a member.

The benefits

Angus Medical Clinic now has a robust IT system, managed by a dedicated team of experts available 24/7. The entire health care team at both facilities can count on privileged and secure access to IT services at all times. Marc de Bellefeuille, owner of the clinic "In our operations, designing, developing, and managing an integrated IT system requires expertise that goes beyond simply mastering the technology. We must develop solutions that always take the following five criteria into account:
  • Customer data protection
  • Needs of medical teams,
  • Manager needs,
  • Specific features of patient record management software packages
  • Requirements inherent to GMF accreditation
Since 2011, our partnership with GTI has enabled us to meet all these requirements."
