MOBILE APPLICATION | TICKET SCANNER | JFL 42 TORONTO
This mobile application was created using the Ionic platform. This platform provides a UI library and includes a set of technologies that facilitate the development of hybrid applications, i.e., applications that work as web applications but also on Android, iOS, and other platforms.
The main use of our application is to scan tickets for shows, which are presented in the form of a QR code. As a reminder, a QR code is a series of numbers formatted as an image. For JFL42, a QR code is generated dynamically when a user reserves their ticket.
Subsequently, when the festival employee uses the “Ticket Scanner App,” the application detects the QR code, decrypts it, and sends it to our MASP (Mobile Application Service Provider).
MASP is an application that acts as:
- connector between the applications (Ticket Scanner APP + Spectator Application) and the festival website,
- API (or application programming interface) in order to view and/or modify the data on the website to which it is linked,
- interface for viewing data and modifying data unique to related applications.
